What is The Benefit of Regular Exercise?

It's difficult to exaggerate the benefit of regular exercise.

If you have a medical condition, talk to your doctor about how much exercise is right for you. For most people regular and even better, daily exercise or workout, even just for 10-15 minutes is a lot more effective than exercising for hours at a time some days.

Choosing exercises and workout programs you like is important for making it fun enough to be able to stick with it. If it isn't fun you are not relaxed and think it is difficult or a have to do and that attitude creates tension in your body.

When doing isometric exercises for example you learn that repetition is not as important as intensity. A well executed 7 second long isometric exercise can be a lot more effective than a partial stimulation of certain muscle fibers.

For some people Yoga or Pilates may be the perfect physical and mental disciplines while for other it could be kick boxing or other forms of martial arts. Maybe a combination of both? Some like to ride a bicycle and then go swimming for 30 minutes in a pool before they have their delicious nutritious breakfast.

There Is No One Size Fits All Approach

When you start having fun exercising and you feel the benefit of regular exercise you may want to change your exercises program or just add more to it. You can use one or more methods to give your fitness soup flavor so to speak.

Different Strokes for Different Folks

Different exercise programs for different people, personalities and age groups. A teenager will not do and like the same exercises as a senior of 75 years old. Some like to exercise with partners or even in groups. A cheerleading exercise varies vastly from muscular strength exercises.

No need to look for a free exercise program because you need to find your own plan. Tailored to your own personality, body and schedule. Some like to exercise in the morning while others prefer to exercise late in the evening.

There are only a few important rules to reap the benefit of regular exercise :

- Warm up before exercising
Prevent injury and warm up. Injury prevention no matter what sport you play or exercise you do

- Eat well and sleep well

- Have fun
