Cheap Jump Ropes versus Expensive Jump Ropes
Should you buy cheap jump ropes or go with more expensive ones?
Where is the best place to get them?
What jump rope is suitable for your needs?
On this page, I'm going to try to answer all of these questions for you so you have the best decision on whether or not you are going to opt for a cheaper jump rope or a more expensive one.
Let's start with the most basic question.
This is actually only one that you can answer, because there are benefits to both.
If you're tight on money or you're just "trying out" jump rope training, I'd opt to get a jump rope that's cheap.
In all honesty, there isn't a huge difference between cheap and expensive jump ropes.
Yes with an expensive one you might jump a little faster and be more comfortable, but if you're a beginner I would suggest buying cheap jump ropes.
The expensive ones might last a bit longer as well and be a little more sturdy. They also tend to swing a little easier helps you focus more on jumping than swinging the jump rope.
So for a beginner, I'd recommend starting off with a cheap jump rope.
For someone more advanced that wants to starting learning jump rope tricks, I'd recommend a more expensive jump rope.
So now you've figured out the good things about each type of jump rope.
However you still need to tailor it to your needs!
For example, are you a teenager and therefore need an adjustable rope? You might have to get one a bit more expensive. It's still cheap, but a few dollars more.
Otherwise you can check out my page on jump rope length to see the size you'll need.
If you think you'd like to progress with jump rope training I'd suggest going with a jump rope that you can add weight to.
You can get jump ropes that come with adjustable weights or simply get a weighted jump rope. That's up to you.
You also have to think of whether you want one that is more comfortable on your hands, or if you want a lightweight jump rope for extra speed.
Take all these factors into consideration before buying!
Now that you have figured out what type of jump rope you'd like to get, the next question is obviously "where do I get one"?
Well, this is an easy question.
I would recommend amazon which is cheap and they give you a lot of options, along with extremely fast shipping and great customer service.
At amazon you'll get a big list of various jump ropes you can purchase, along with books, videos, and other various things to start your jump rope training.
Finding cheap jump ropes to suit your needs is a very easy thing to do.
