Is Jump Rope Training The Key To Fat Loss?

Jump rope training is used by extreme athletes all over the world as one of their conditioning and fat loss exercises.

What do you think that means?

It means that, in a simple way of putting it, it works!

When I talk about jump roping I am not talking about how the kids on a playground do it. I am talking about trying to jump and spin the jump as fast as possible so you get a good workout.

Why Should I Jump Rope?

There are a lot of reasons why a person should get into a jump rope training program.

It Is a Quick Workout

- You can have a tremendous jump rope workout in literally as little as 5 minutes. This is one of the great things I love about jumping rope.

Price

- The price of a jump rope is usually very small. Although the benefits are high, just wait until you see how cheap it is to get in great shape!

Anybody Can Do It

- Since it's not very hard on the joints, at least if you do it correctly, pretty much anybody can do it. If you're overweight you should make sure you jump rope on some type of Foam Exercise Mat.

Valeo Exercise Mat

This is also a great workout for young children to do if you are trying to get them to start exercising more.

 It Is Fun To Learn

- For some reason I enjoyed going through the initial learning curve of jump rope training. Although frustrating in the beginning, it is a great feeling when you can do 100 skips without missing a beat.

It Is A Full-Body Workout

- One of the great things I love about jumping rope is I know that almost my entire body is getting a workout. The legs, arms, wrists, shoulders, and even your core get a tremendous workout in just a few minutes.

What Improvements Will You See?

By doing this type of training, you'll see drastic improvements in the following areas:

  • Agility
  • Fat Loss
  • Footwork
  • Endurance
  • Vertical Leap
  • Coordination
  • Reduction of Knee Pain
  • Add Spring To Your Step

As you can see, it brings a plethora of benefits to your body.

Training with a jump rope has given me tremendous results.

I have noticed that my vertical leap increased, I have much more spring in my step, my endurance has gone through the roof, my coordination has greatly improved, and even my mental toughness has increased!

I highly suggest learning how to jump rope so you can maximize your fat loss and increase your endurance tremendously.

Jump High

I just watched a small child jump up as he went through the doorway.  He was trying to touch the top of that doorway even thought he was about three feet short of his accomplishment; but he was having fun. I remember when I was about 12 trying to touch the ceiling, and finally making it. When I was about 14 it was trying to touch the basketball net, and later the rim. Trying to jump high is still a great thing to do. If you are serious about jumping high, why not tie some small objects at various heights to mark your progress.  Do not forget to also practice jumping sideways….Here is a book review on a book that gives you some ideas for improving side motion and jumping high: Soccer Conditioning

To the right is a devise that measures ones vertical jump progress and thus makes them a better jumper. I bet you could make something similar by hanging small objects from a string at different heights.
